We are all dancers

My own dance and choreographic practice is firmly rooted in classical ballet technique, and is specifically informed by contemporary traditions stemming from Martha Graham, Merce Cunningham and José Limon. As a teacher however, I place as much emphasis on self-awareness as I do on historical and cultural awareness. I work from a fluid perspective, stressing both creative and personal development, through a disciplined knowledge of dance technique, choreography, improvisation, partnering, performance, collaboration, as well as Yoga and Pilates. By underlining the special importance of preventative and restorative techniques, I try to instill a deep respect for the body and a healthy approach to dance practice.
